The Endonasal Endoscopic Management of Paranasal Sinuses Mucoceles

Introduction: Paranasal sinuses mucoceles are benign, epithelial lined, mucus filled lesions, causing destruction of the adjacent sinus walls, and with further gradual extension to structures, serious morbidities mortalities may occur. Objective: To emphasize on efficacy endonasal endoscopic marsupialization in treatment paranasal mucoceles. Method: Retrospective descriptive study mucocele cases operated endoscopically by author (AAM), 10-year-period from 2009-2019. Result: Total 23 were included, 16 males 7 females, age ranging between 14 - 76 years, a mean 45 years Location varied between: Frontal (30%), Fronto-ethmoidal 6 (26%), Isolated Ethmoidal accounted for 3 (13%), sphenoidal 4 (17%), maxillary (13%) all underwent complete marsupialization, none them required combination external approach in-spite different locations complications, no recurrence follow up period 2.4 years. Conclusion: Endonasal is safe, efficient most case their presentations locations.
